About me
I graduated with an MBChB from New Zealand in 1979 and then gained MRCGP in London in 1984. After qualifying, I established private clinics in the UAE and Sultanate of Oman before returning to the UK in 1992 with my three children. I have always been interested in travel as well as family health.
I was a GP partner in Chertsey for 20+ years but now I combine working in women’s health at Dr Morton’s with work as a specialist doctor at Ashford St Peter’s NHS Hospital Trust in Surrey. I am also a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from the University of Aukland, New Zealand
- Diploma in Family Planning from the Royal College of General Practitioners
- Member and Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners
- Diploma in Practical Dermatology from the University of Cardiff, Wales
Why I am passionate about working in women’s health
When I trained there was little understanding about or advice on women’s fertility, infertility, contraception and menopause. It was, and still is, very rewarding to share advice and education about the latest advances in treatment in everyday language that female patients can understand. To help anxious, confused women discuss their issues and move forward with their lives, is still a great pleasure in my life.
